Courage Needed

COURAGE NEEDED

In the Press, the Pulpit, the Politicians & the People

I fought in two wars and I have two grandsons who
are combat veterans
of the Iraq War. One is Air Force security man and the other
is an Army paratrooper, once wounded in action and now back in Iraq
with his buddies. Our armed forces are the bravest and the best and we need to
back them in what they do.

The Combat Infantrymen's Association (CIA)

About the Combat Infantrymen's Association:

There is no doubt in my mind that any one of you out there who has been on the ground and going up against an armed enemy in a close combat situation as an INFANTRYMAN

and is still breathing knows that you were one of those who truly fought the war eyeball to eyeball telling of those who wanted to kill you! You and I, as combat infantrymen, know that those who were KIA had paid the ultimate price for their heroic efforts on the ground to fight and defeat the enemy. Without the Combat Infantrymen taking the ground and holding on to it - we would all be goose-stepping to Hitler's cadence or bowing to Emperor Hirohito's passing motorcades.

I am a lifetime member of the Combat Infantrymen's Association. It is the CIA you can trust! Please, if you want to help inspire others to be one of those who makes a difference by encouraging young men to enlist to be an Infantryman. Join and become active in the CIA. I first joined the 5^th Infantry Division at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation in the Summer of 1952 and beamed with pride when I pinned on my crossed rifles - the mark of a real man! I fought in Korea as a Combat Engineer and in Vietnam as a Special Forces officer commanding an independent Special Forces Operation - the first to attack enemy forces in their former "safe-havens" - Team A-424 in An Phu District of the Mekong River Delta - known as IV Corps Tactical Zone.

Please contact retired Major Daniel R. Sankoff, National CIA Membership Officer and ask for the form needed to apply for membership. Have ready your DD214 that shows you were awarded the Combat Infantrymen's Badge (CIB). Dues are $20.00 for two years or $75.00 for a life membership. Write to Major Sankoff at

The Courage of TrineDay Press/Kris Millegan

The week that I spent with Kris Milligan in Charleston, SC provided me a rare insight into just who he is and what he lives for and I am proud to know him as a friend and publisher. I thank God for bringing Kris and I together inasmuch as 120 - yes 120 -other publishers had turned down the opportunity to publish and present the truth that is on my book to the world because that truth would have put them on the bad guy list of the CIA. E. J. McCarthy, senior editor of Presidio Press, said it best, though in couched terms, in his final rejection letter to me when he wrote (after taking it to committee three times with his personal recommendation to fly with it!) that they couldn't publish it because of "the spooky nature" of it. Of course "spooks" are CIA agents. Thank God for the fearless boss of TrineDay Press!!
